What do you suck at?
Back in 2012 or something ancient like that, Danielle LaPorte wrote her own post listing what she sucks at. She says that by listing your shortcomings, you give yourself permission to pursue your genius.
So many of us women try to be the best at everything. But, many times we just naturally suck at it, and/or loathe it all together. Let’s let go of the shame, guilt and embarrasment. Stop apologizing for it once and for all.
So, it’s my turn to list some things I absolutely suck at. Here they are:
I suck at my inbox.
I suck at asking for help.
I suck at JUST watching tv. I do 10 million things while I watch.
I’m suck at sucking up.
I such at checking voicemail and answering my phone.
I suck at slowing down.
I suck at having compassion for people who have excuses.
I suck at house cleaning.
I suck at keeping in touch.
The point of this exercise is to notice where you have tension around being lame at something. The things on your “I suck at…” list are the things that have bothered you frequently or deeply for a long time. You have fought against them, felt less than because of them, and tried to cover up for them. No more of that!
So, what do you suck at?
